Our 2016 Apprentices have recently begun their training at Bri-Stor Systems, part of the Bri-Stor Group and at the JCB Academy.
With various roles been undertaken, all of the apprentices are starting off with initial assessments of Maths and English and will be working towards starting their portfolios.
This year the Bri-Stor Group have been very fortunate to take on 26 Apprenticeship placements with roles in Auto Electrician, Mechanical / Electrical Engineer and Manufacturing /
The Auto Electricians have taken and passed with exceedingly good results, a Level 1 in Health and Safety with the Group Health and Safety Officer. This role has already got off to a great start with techniques in crimping, soldering, loom manufacturing, wiring fuse boxes and colour coding underway.
Apprentices who are based at the JCB Academy for the first 6 months wasted no time in getting their skill base off to a good start. Learning bench fitting, sheet metal work, welding and getting their first hands on experience using AutoCAD.
The Apprentices are already making themselves known with some strong personalities shining through and as a Group we are already looking forward our next generation of skilled engineers and electricians.
2016 Apprenticeships at a careers event helping to launch our Apprenticeship scheme.
After a successful year of attending various career events, invitations to school job fairs and local media support, Bri-Stor Systems saw a huge number of candidates apply for the apprenticeship schemes on offer this year. We are pleased to announce the intake of 25 apprentices this year, all of which have undergone an interview with the Company Directors and have successfully passed.
Apprentices stand to gain valuable experience in key manufacturing areas using state of the art technology and will be able to study towards an engineering qualification.
Andrew Humphrey, Managing Director of the Bri-Stor Group said: “We have been recruiting apprentices since 2010. Many young people in Staffordshire have started a successful career at Bri-Stor systems and have continued to progress within the group.
Staffordshire is an exciting hub of manufacturing activity and our apprentices will be part of the next generation of skilled engineers and electricians in the region”.
We look forward to welcoming our new Apprentices in September.
Apprenticeships for 2017 will be open to applicants in the new year. Please keep checking back for updates.
