The search for next year’s Bri-Stor and Alpha apprentices has begun. Our apprentice manager and two of our current apprentices have been travelling to local schools to introduce the year 11 students to Bri-Stor. The apprentices from both Bri-Stor and Alpha spoke about what they have been doing since starting their apprenticeship, the projects they have been working on and what the first 12 months as a Bri-Stor apprentice involves.
The next few months will see our apprentice manager and a few of our apprentices travel to a number of local schools across the area. The purpose of the school visits are to teach students about what Bri-Stor has to offer, including the skills, knowledge and job opportunities that they will gain as one of our apprentices.
The visit also informs the students on how they could apply to be a part of the company, and what they should expect to go through should they apply.
Each year the company sees a huge amount of applicants across Staffordshire compete to gain a place on the Bri-Stor apprenticeship scheme. 2020 will see Bri-Stor and Alpha offer new apprenticeship courses in welding and auto electrician alongside the mechanical and manufacturing engineering courses that are already offered.
Applications for 2020 apprenticeships will open in the New Year.
