STONE'S soapbox race is hoped to become one of the biggest events on the Staffordshire calendar and Bri-Stor are looking forward to taking part amongst the action.

The inaugural event last year attracted around 3,000 people to the town's High Street and this year's event on bank holiday Monday, May 29, will feature more jumps, around 50 teams and daytime entertainment.

The 2017 prize list will be extended to include categories such as best dressed soapbox and entertainment value across all sectors such as male teams, female teams, junior teams or more than 150 teams to allow for more prizes to be given out.

William Davies-Hill, Apprenticeship Manager and one of our apprentices, Joe Abbotts, met with race organiser Grahame Neagus in Stone to confirm our place at this years’ event.
He said "We are raising money for Help For Heroes - we raised about £520 last year through sponsorship for the race. It was good fun and this year we will have a few teams of apprentices entering and making the soapboxes".
