Joining us for 3 days, they will try their hand at various roles to ultimately build a model van which will house a docking station and speakers to allow them to play music from there handset.

Both looking to continue their education in engineering, their experience has given them a good understanding of work inside an engineering environment. Working closely with our CAD engineers and Engineering Manager, they have taken the following steps:

Step 1 – Working in CAD to measure and design a model van

Step 2 – The parts were manufactured on site at Alpha Manufacturing and on to Atlas Coating where the parts were powder coated

Step 3 -
- Using rivets to manually build the shell of the vehicle, including a space for a phone bracket
- Electrics to be installed to allow for a Bluetooth speaker to be linked to it
- Install a battery for the switch to the headlights

Step 4 – Design, Print and apply graphics to the shell
