All participants met at Kedleston Hotel at 9am to register and fuel up on bacon butties before setting off in relevant group stages depending on their level of experience.

Nick Tomlinson, Technical Engineering Manager said "A very friendly welcome by Team Raleigh, Smith Coopers & HUUB events in a lovely setting at Kedleston Country House Hotel. After a bacon roll and a cup of coffee we were split into groups of ability and hit the road. The course was very scenic for the main however I found myself with my head down staring at the tarmac on quite a few of the challenging climbs. The Team riders were always nearby and offering friendly support. We managed to finish just before the drizzle started having completed the route in a respectable time.To cap the day off we had a delicious hog roast. Very enjoyable day all round!"

Neil Andrews, Group IT Manager said “A great and well organised event through 48 miles of Derbyshire Countryside.  Challenging hills, especially the 20% Two Dales!  Riding alongside professional riders makes you appreciate how good they really are.  All riders that took part had nothing but praise for the event, the support and fellow riders.  Thank you Team Raleigh GAC, Smith Coopers & HUUB!”

Sam Jackson, 1st Year Apprentice said "It was a fantastic opportunity for cyclists to ride alongside the pros from Team Raleigh GAC. It was great to ride the route with world champions and to see just how fast they were! The route was tough with the headwind coming back over the Peak District, but it was signposted really well and the hog roast at the end was great. Thanks to Raleigh and HUUB events for putting such a great event on."

In total, there were 60 cyclists that took part in the ride and all 60 completed the course and returned back to base to indulge in a hog roast.

Thanks to Team Raleigh GAC for the experience of cycling with the team and also to HUUB Events for organising the event.
