Clay Pigeon Event raises some cash for Help For Heroes

05 June 2017

Clay Pigeon Shooting

On Saturday 3rd June, the Bri-Stor Group headed over to White Pump Farm, Wheaton Aston, to try their hand at Clay Pigeon Shooting in aid of Help For Heroes.

In total there were 21 keen shooters geared up and ready to shatter the specific flying targets. Amongst the team were some amateur shooters, scoring 29 out of 30 clays and some who were blessed with beginners luck, had never held a gun before but seemed to be complete naturals to the sporting event.

There were 3 traps set up with 10 birds per person, per trap. After all the shots were fired we were feeling triumphant with the score cards totaling an impressive 327 out of 450. It was a fun morning enjoyed by everyone and in total we raised £210.00 for our chosen charity Help For Heroes.

A huge credit to the organisers Paul Lasance and Darren Painter from Royal Oak Sporting Gun Club who hosted the event and kindly provided all the gear for us to use. BASC Accredited Shotgun coach Simon Pritchard was also present to help guide us through various features, resulting in each and every one of us ‘shooting a clay bird’.
