Martin Smith
Group CEO
Growing up in Staffordshire, just a few miles from the family business, Martin Smith spent much of his childhood watching his parents build Bri-Stor Systems Limited (Bri-Stor is an abbreviation of British Storage). Today, as CEO of The HEX Group, he reflects on his own career and the tough lessons he learned along the way.
Simon Webb
Managing Director
Simon Webb, Managing Director of Bri-Stor Systems knows all about hard work. Leaving school in the 80s, his first experience of engineering came about when he started a four-year Mechanical Technician Apprenticeship at Portsmouth based firm Dunham-Bush Ltd.
Adam Smith
Operations Director
Joining the business in 2021, Bri-Stor Systems’ as an Operations Manager Adam Smith has made a significant impact in the business in a relatively short period of time.
Responsible for operations at Bri-Stor Systems’ Church Lane site, purchasing and supply chain management, Adam brings a wealth of expertise to the business having worked in other world-class environments.
Paul Airston
Commercial Manager
Describing Bri-Stor Systems, Operations Manager Paul Airston is passionate about the business. Joining sister-company Alpha Manufacturing in 2004, like many colleagues in the business, Paul has enjoyed a variety of roles in the Group and today leads the operational performance of Bri-Stor Systems.
Andrew Goodwin
Sales and Marketing Director
Joining the business in 2023, Andrew Goodwin took on the role of Sales and Marketing Director for Bri-Stor Systems and HEX Graphics.
Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience in providing vehicle solutions to customers with complex operating needs, with over 30 years working for leasing and fleet management companies including Arval, Lex Autolease and Rivus.
Neil Prescott
Prototype Manager
With almost 30 years working in the Bri-Stor Group, Neil Prescott has seen the business from every perspective. It’s with this unique insight that Neil leads the prototype team and works closely with engineering colleagues to deliver the industry’s most advanced van conversion systems.
Karen Barnacle
People & Culture Manager
At just 17, Karen joined the Bri-Stor Group as a receptionist. Unsure of her career path at that point, she loved the vibrant atmosphere of the Bri-Stor Group. Today, almost three decades on, Karen holds the most senior HR position across the Group, looking after the employment rights and welfare of almost 500 people as well as leading on recruitment and the Group’s career development programme.
Andy Skelton
Customer Handover Manager
Joining Bri-Stor Systems in January 2020 as Customer Handover Manager, Andy Skelton is entirely focused on the customer experience. With first-class credentials working as a service manager for one of the world’s leading automotive brands before becoming an account manager in the van conversion sector, Andy began his career at 16 as a vehicle technician with big ambitions.
Daniel Bell
Engineering Manager
Interested in design and engineering from an early age, it was clear that Dan’s career would take this path. As Dan approaches his five year anniversary with the Bri-Stor Group, his passion and drive for engineering is evident as he becomes Bri-Stor Systems’ Engineering Manager.

With 30 years’ experience working for one of the UK’s most well-known roadside assistance and vehicle breakdown firms, Mark Lodge, Bri-Stor Systems’ Quality Manager understands exactly what the customer demands when it comes to fleet conversion.
Andrew Webber
Compliance Manager
When it comes to total compliance with regulations and legislation governing the fleet vehicle sector, Andrew Webber, Bri-Stor Systems’ Compliance Manager is the man in charge of ensuring every Bri-Stor Systems’ van conversion is fully compliant. Working alongside colleagues in engineering, new product development (NPD), purchasing, build and prototype, Andrew’s 30-year career makes him one of the industry’s foremost experts on the subject of vehicle legislation.
Nick Tomlinson

Joining Bri-Stor Systems in 1998 with fresh ideas, Nick exemplifies the quality and world-class standards Bri-Stor Systems is known for. For over twenty years, Nick has been a critical part of the team that has seen the business go from strength to strength and today orchestrates the van conversion contracts for some of our most complex fleet customers.
