New Product Development Manager
Describing the new product development (NPD) team at Bri-Stor Systems, NPD Manager Stefan Callear explains that the team’s broad range of expertise and skills gives them a unique advantage when it comes to bringing value to the engineering process. Stefan tells us more about the team and how his own experience as a former apprentice influences his role as a manager.
“The NPD team is very much part of the engineering division within Bri-Stor Systems but we approach every project like an internal consultancy. Across the team we have a wealth of expertise from a broad range of industries – from construction machinery to surveillance equipment – and its with these insights that we’re able to approach projects with an independent perspective. Bri-Stor Systems has been the leading name in van conversion systems for many decades, and it’s that reputation that continues to underpin the new innovations we’re bringing to market – we always have and always will deliver engineering excellence.”
Starting out his own career as an Apprentice, Stefan is committed to supporting the career development of the people in his team and shares these thoughts: “Bri-Stor Systems has a highly respected Apprenticeship Scheme and as a former apprentice myself, I understand the importance of working in an environment where people come first. In the NPD team, we all have vastly different skills and expertise, which not only brings high levels of innovation to the projects we work on, but also the opportunity to transfer skills and knowledge within the team. This creates a dynamic and energetic working environment – the very essence of NPD.”
